In June of 2024, my 14East Magazine article, Chicago's Catrachos: How Honduran Immigrants Built and Maintained Their Presence in the City won the Catholic Media Association's St. Juan Collegiate Award, 3rd place.

This is an international title given to student journalists across the U.S. and Canada. It's an honor to highlight different facets of immigration from asylum seekers, dancers with big dreams and my own family.
