About Me

I’ve always felt like I didn’t fully fit anywhere. Growing up Honduran and Chinese, being bi-racial was trendy ; other times, it was classified as “white” in school systems.
These prescriptions shaped how I see the world today - how identities are simplified and erased, and how people are often silenced before they can tell their own stories. I channel this awareness into my work driving social equity through storytelling.
By day I juggle jobs as an internal communications assistant at DePaul University, social media student assistant manager for our Global Asian Studies Department and public relations intern at Guide My Brand.
Even though I’m a PR & advertising graduate student, I started my career at DePaul as a service learning coordinator connecting students with nonprofit CEOs. It’s here that my love for social justice grew, sparking my community-empowered approach to journalism, PR and communications.

While I loved highlighting marginalized voices and narratives through my journalistic roles, I felt my story-telling was missing something: a call to action. I realized I wanted my stories to not only highlight diverse experiences, but use them as a catalyst for uplifting human rights and women of color.

My mantra? Diversity and inclusion only thrive with authentic equity. I'm here to help organizations amplify underrepresented communities through meaningful social impact practices that drive change and break the status quo.
